Nashville based photographer Rocky Yosek (http://www.myspace.com/36847617) sent us this great picture today. According to Rocky, he rescued the Epiphone Valve Junior amp at a local garage sale last fall and rescued the dog shortly thereafter. Named Willy, the dog (a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mastiff mix) is one of Rocky’s favorite photography subjects and playing guitar is one of his favorite pastimes.

One of the amps we have in our archive is a 1944 Epiphone Electar. It made it’s way out of hiding today so I grabbed this quick snapshot. Is that not about the coolest looking amp you’ve ever seen? A lot of the modern day amps we have are modeled in the spirit of these old beauties. Take for example the much heralded Valve Junior. Not familiar with that one?
