you gotta check this one out

One of the acoustic/electric guitars currently featured on our homepage is the Epiphone AJ-200SCE. Let me get straight to the point… This thing rocks! You get a full-size Advanced Jumbo (sloped shoulder) guitar with a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Laminated Mahogany back & sides plus our incredible sounding eSonic preamp with NanoFlex pickup. And dig this… MSRP is only $479.

CLICK HERE to check it out further and hear a SOUND CLIP. Then go play one and we think you will agree… the AJ-200SCE simply crushes anything out there even close to its price range. Oh… and did you know that every Epiphone guitar goes through a rigorous inspection and set-up process in our USA facility (that’s Brandon in the pic) before it ships to an authorized dealer? Yep, and… all of our guitars come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

If you’re looking for an acoustic/electric guitar you gotta check this one out.

can a drummer be passionate about epiphone guitars?

Being a drummer, people are often surprised at how long I have been at Epiphone. When I tell them 12 years, some will say that’s fantastic while others will say why so long? That’s easy, it’s because of the people!

We are a family here in a way. It’s natural to feel that way when you spend as much time together as we all do. And since a very high percentage of the people here were here the first day I walked through the doors, it was bound to happen! People, like me, who are dedicated and passionate about making Epiphone the best it can be.

When buying a guitar, people are the missing component you don’t see or even think about… but there are dedicated, passionate employees all over the world working hard to make Epiphone what it is today.  Employees who manufacture, inspect, set-up and ship each Epiphone instrument worldwide.

Next time you pick up an Epiphone, I hope you will think about the dedicated employees all over the world that have directly or indirectly helped in you grabbing it off the rack or ordering it online because performance is not only our passion, it’s a way of life!

The Epiphone PR-5E Acoustic/Electric Guitar: Ideal for High-Volume Performance

Somebody asked me via Twitter D-Message the other day why the Epiphone PR-5E Acoustic/Electric Guitar is considered “Ideal for Live, High-Volume Performance”. This person had obviously been reading our current website feature (located here) and it dawned on me that most people probably don’t realize that the PR-5E has a shallower depth than a traditional acoustic. The PR-5E body is only 3.5″ thick which reduces the possibility of feedback at high volume… but the cool thing is that with it’s jumbo-like lower bout and the impressive eSonic preamp system with NanoFlex pickup… it still sounds rich and full through a PA system. The Florentine cutaway also makes it easy for the shredders to access the upper frets. If you want to learn more about this guitar CLICK HERE.

That’s Steve in the picture… he just set this one up in our USA facility and it will soon be on its way to a dealer and a new home with some lucky guitarist. The PR-5E is a great performance acoustic guitar… yes… even at HIGH VOLUME!

What Comes With a New Epiphone Instrument?

There have been a lot of questions recently from our customers asking “what comes with a new Epiphone guitar?”  Here’s a list of what should be included when you purchase a new Epiphone instrument.  If you do not receive these items, please ask your authorized Epiphone retailer about them.

  1. User’s Manual – This covers all the basic information about the care and use of most all of our guitars.
  2. Warranty Information – This is included in with the User’s Manual.  You can fill out the form and send it in to us by mail.  But… it’s faster and easier to do it on-line at:

www.epiphone.com/warranty.asp.

  1. 10’ Economy Cord – This comes with all electric and acoustic/electric instruments.
  2. 4. Epiphone Bumper Sticker
  3. 5. Epiphone 2-Sided Poster
  4. eSonic/eSonic-2 User’s Manual – This goes into details regarding the features, benefits and use of our preamp system that is used in most of our acoustic/electric guitars.  This comes with only acoustic/electric guitars.
  5. Truss Rod Adjustment Wrench – Remember… if you don’t know how to adjust your truss rod, don’t attempt it.  You could do permanent damage to your instrument.  If you think an adjustment is needed, take it to an authorized service center.

Additionally, some of our guitars are priced including hard case or gigbag.  Here’s a quick list of our current price list models that include cases.

  • Inspired by John Lennon Casino (‘1965” and “Revolution”):  Hard Case
  • SG-Express :  Gigbag
  • Emily the Strange G-310:  Gigbag (and strap)
  • Zakk Wylde ZV Custom:  Hard Case
  • LP-Express:  Gigbag
  • Les Paul “Tribute”:  Hard Case
  • All “Packs”:  Gigbag

*Note:  All hard cases include a locking latch with key.

For over 50 years the Epiphone Texan guitar has been putting smiles on the faces of guitar players

When I made my way through the Epiphone USA set-up facility here in Nashville this morning I noticed that some of the crew were going through final QC and set-up procedures on a good number of Inspired by 1964 Texan’s, preparing to send them to dealers across the country. Man… what a great guitar! The history of this instrument alone is mind-boggling… when you consider that everyone from Paul McCartney to Peter Frampton to Noel Gallagher has used this guitar to write and record some of the most important pop/rock songs in history. But what really blows you away is when you hear this incredible instrument. For over 50 years the Texan has been putting smiles on the faces of guitar players… and it continued to do so this morning with Allen above.

We are about to feature 4 acoustic/electric guitars on our homepage… including the Inspired by 1964 Texan. You can check out the feature story now by following the link below. It has a lot of info about the Texan and even includes a short mp3 sound clip.

Have you ever played a Texan? If so what did you think… please click on the “COMMENT” link at the top of this post (or the form below) and let us know.
